1 in 8 Indians gets hit by nasal congestion.

Velocity Healthcare conducted a pan-India research report to understand the patients’ journey map for common cold/nasal congestion for people aged more than 20 years. The objective of the study was to understand the difference (Pre-Covid v/s Covid times) in management practices & the typical patient pathway for managing nasal congestion & common cold issues.

The study covered 14 cities including metro (Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore) & non-metro cities (Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata, Nagpur, Vadodara, Kochi, Surat, Ahmedabad) targeting the respondents that should have suffered from a common cold issue in the last 45 days & are under allopathic medication (oral tablets/capsule or syrup or nasal spray). The sample had 58% of respondents as males & 42% as females.

The findings of the study also focussed on discovering changes in management practices adopted, common symptoms suffered during the last episode of common cold/nasal congestion, the stage where allopathic medication was consumed et, al.
